Hario V60 ceramic drippers utilize a traditional style of Japanese ceramics with a 400 year history. This method is both beautiful and practical, allowing for deeper layering of coffee grounds; its spiral ridges and lack of flow restriction allow the user to pour water quickly for a delicate body, or slowly for a heavier flavor.

Directions

Brew temperature: Between 202°F and 207°F (or 94°C and 97°C)

  1. Place filter in V60
  2. Pre-rinse filter
  3. Grind size should be similar to ground table salt (fine)
  4. Add ground coffee to filter
  5. Saturate all coffee grounds with 40 ml water, let sit for 30 seconds
  6. Pour super slow in spiral motion from center. Keep water level no more than 1 inch above coffee bed
  7. Continue until you reach 415 ml
  8. Aim for a brew time of 3 mins. If it runs faster, adjust the grind finer. If it runs slower, make the grinder coarser
  9. Enjoy!
