Hario V60 ceramic drippers utilize a traditional style of Japanese ceramics with a 400 year history. This method is both beautiful and practical, allowing for deeper layering of coffee grounds; its spiral ridges and lack of flow restriction allow the user to pour water quickly for a delicate body, or slowly for a heavier flavor.
Directions
Brew temperature: Between 202°F and 207°F (or 94°C and 97°C)
- Place filter in V60
- Pre-rinse filter
- Grind size should be similar to ground table salt (fine)
- Add ground coffee to filter
- Saturate all coffee grounds with 40 ml water, let sit for 30 seconds
- Pour super slow in spiral motion from center. Keep water level no more than 1 inch above coffee bed
- Continue until you reach 415 ml
- Aim for a brew time of 3 mins. If it runs faster, adjust the grind finer. If it runs slower, make the grinder coarser
- Enjoy!
