We're excited to announce the release of our Spring 2025 schedule of coffee training, classes, and educational events at the Klatch Coffee Roastery in Rancho Cucamonga, California. These educational opportunities allow you to expand your horizons and appreciation for specialty coffee in a professional setting. Each event is hosted by an expert trainer, certified by the Speciality Coffee Association.

Seed to cup: How does coffee get its flavor?

Join us for "Seed to Cup - How Does Coffee Get Its Flavor?", a brand new class we're excited to offer for the first time in 2025. Your host, Jessica Rodriguez, has spent nearly a decade working in the coffee industry as an educator, authorized SCA trainer, and consultant.

In this immersive workshop, we'll explore the fascinating world of coffee origins and processing methods, learning how factors such as climate, soil, and elevation impact the taste and quality of coffee.

This engaging class is designed for coffee enthusiasts, aspiring baristas, and anyone curious about the intricate journey of coffee from seed to cup.

Our first session of "Seed to Cup - How Does Coffee Get Its Flavor?" is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Learn to pour latte art

Learn the techniques and tricks that professional baristas use to pour beautiful latte art. Our Home Latte Art Class will help you get in touch with your inner barista, and provide real-world tips you can immediately apply at home.

While there are no specific prerequisites, our Home Latte Art class is ideal as a next step for students who have completed the Home Espresso class and want to take their abilities to the next level.

Every session of our Latte Art classes typically sells out, so get your tickets early!

Take your espresso to the next level

If you purchased an espresso machine for your home kitchen but aren't getting the results you expected, our Home Espresso Class is just the ticket.

We'll teach you how to make cafe-quality espresso at home, including grind settings and troubleshooting, timing, and dosing. You'll learn how to evaluate the quality of a shot and "dial in" to perfect it.

Deepen your understanding of home brewing

We're pleased to announce our Home Brewing Class is returning to the calendar in July 2025! This class teaches the practical skills needed for brewing coffee at home, diving into brewing methods, variables that affect quality, taste perception, and coffee evaluation. We'll also explore grind profiles and aroma, taste, and body.

Each workshop is held at the Klatch Coffee Roastery in Rancho Cucamonga, California, where instructors and attendees have access to professional-level equipment so you can sharpen your skills. Attendees don't need to bring espresso machines, brewing equipment, or coffee - everything required will be provided by your instructor.
